Effects of foliar biofertilization on the Water Use Efficiency in different varieties of basil (Ocimum basilicum L.)

Introduction. Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) is a little-known crop in the Bolivian highlands as its response to water use efficiency (WUE) Walipini-type greenhouses. Objective. To evaluate behavior of two varieties basil and application foliar biofertilizer greenhouse. Materials methods. The experiment was installed at Ventilla Ecological Farm, Central Highlands Bolivia, with an experimental period 135 days (July 13 November 25), 2014. A factorial factors (varieties: Nufar F1 Italian Large Leaf) levels (Biol) used under completely randomized block design. Results. Through WUE, specific leaf area, net assimilation rate relationship, it observed that had better development greenhouse (underground greenhouse) since biomass accumulation not significantly affected. results showed production this environment using biofertilizer, Biol, differ mainly by variety rather than doses showing development. Conclusion. significant relationship between large Leaf for weight when applying Biol different levels. It shows there does necessarily have be positive so presumed can develops regularly greenhouses semi-arid region conditions.
